Bobbi Brown, makeup artist to the stars and founder of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, learned early in life to accept her unconventional looks as beautiful. It was the people around her who sometimes needed to be convinced. “My mother, when I was 21, came to me and said I have to talk to you. ‘I think you’re beautiful, but you’d be gorgeous with a nose job,’” Brown told a crowd of hundreds of women and men who came to hear her speak about looking your best after turning 50. The topic of health and beauty in the fifth decade of life was among the most popular at the convention, with doxens of product lines and expert speakers filling the exhibition hall to offer help and product samples to the women in attendance.

Bobbi please! You use younger models because younger models SELL! and as long as you are concerned with the bottomline, you are not going to change.
Now, having said that…i love her make-up!

I wish she would start using those *older* models already. That aside I really admire her. She is very much down to earth and real, not to mention she has a good idea about what women want and her products are fantastic

I’m 50 and I have been using her skincare and makeup for several months and my skin looks very good. The makeup has just the right amount of coverage for the more mature woman.

She doesn’t need bold makeup. She’s got great cheekbones, pretty eyes, and a glossy, chestnut-colored mane.

I never considered her line a “high end” line. check out Chanel, Givenchy, La Mer, or Guerlain. Bobbi Brown is a great middle of the road brand, IMO

Check out her older book Bobbi Brown Beauty. It’s a very practical and realistic approach to make-up. It’s one of my favorite make-up books. Sonia Kashuk’s book w/DVD is also another great practical and realistic book.

  15. katieoler says:

I love her book so much. Wish her products were more affordable! Maybe she could come out with a not-so-high-end line.

Bobbi Brown is great! I read on the JuliB site that she wrote the foreword to a new book called “about face: 25 women write about what they see when they look in the mirror”… sounds like it’ll be a good read.

  22. XxcerezaxX says:

  24. geode00 says:

I wish they’d said that women today ARE being and doing what 50 –is– and not “feeling and looking younger than ever before.” No they aren’t 30, they are 50. What about just saying: this is what 50 is? Thanks for the video. I’d love to see more…
